Amazed at how much weight you can gain on one day? It sucks, I know. I got on the scales too. But for me I was prepared mentally and physically for that. It allowed me to enjoy the extra two or three pieces of pie (I’m not counting because it may have been more than three).
Now what? Deep down you feel like you can’t start a diet during December with all the holiday goodies you’ll be faced with. Work goodies from clients and vendors, Christmas parties for several organizations you belong to and cookies that you’ll either bake yourself or eat at home.
Here are a few things to consider.
- It’s not the end of the world. I know you’ve heard that one before.
- You can always start a diet like a gazillion others on January 1. Yea, right. You’ve done that before (at least 12 times) and were frustrated at how far you had to park away from the door of the gym because everyone else is there too.
- You can just not eat all the goodies placed before you. Who am I trying to kid?
- You can go on a month long vacation on an island that has outlawed sugar. Now we’re getting some where!
Well you really only have one choice if you want to get healthy.
You have to eat right, perform daily exercise and get adequate rest.
I know you thought I was going to have a magic pill for you that would allow you to eat junk and get healthy. Sorry to burst your bubble.
I started a 30-day support group starting today to get us past Christmas with one goal in mind; maintain your current weight and actually lose a few pounds while still enjoying the holidays.
